Do you know the 2023 Tom Barton Award winner?

9 Jan 23

Do you have a colleague who has gone above and beyond in implementing initiatives to improve quality, productivity, safety and sustainability by eradicating errors? Someone who deserves to be recognised by their peers and celebrated by the industry for their work? Someone whose passion and enthusiasm for eliminating error would be a worthy ambassador for the GIRI message?

Why not nominate them for the Tom Barton Award and inspire them to continue spreading the word?

Following the successful launch of the GIRI/ICE Tom Barton Award last year, we are now lookout for our 2023 award winner, with the deadline just a few weeks away.

The Tom Barton Award celebrates engineering and construction professionals who have demonstrated excellence in implementing initiatives to improve quality, productivity, safety and sustainability by eradicating mistakes. While there is no age restriction, nominations of young professionals whose work has demonstrably enhanced project efficiency are particularly welcomed.

As well as the peer recognition and professional kudos that comes with an ICE award, the winner will be invited to attend the ICE awards ceremony in October, and their achievement will be publicised by GIRI through its website, newsletter and social media platforms – see the story about Gavin Ford of Costain, who was our inaugural winner in 2022.

Nominations close on Thursday 31st January 2023; download the nomination form here and find the full list of awards on the ICE website here
