Join GIRI at the Quality in Construction Summit, 7 June 2018

14 Nov 17
Ed McCann will be presenting GIRI findings and activity at the Quality in Construction Summit, taking place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Stansted Airport, on the 7th June 2018 (see our events section for more info). During his session key industry players will learn how the initiative is tackling avoidable error and changing attitudes and culture to provide real leadership.

As well as looking at the measurable causes of error the Get It Right Initiative is also tackling the cultural changes required. It is critical that companies and employees need to want to do the job well, and have the right frame of mind as well as the belief in what they do. This applies equally to the person ensuring the site is a fit place to do the work well, as to the designer who makes sure their drawings are clear and unambiguous so as to eliminate error.

By the end of the session delegates will be encouraged to:-

  • Think differently about errors with a renewed interest in their costs

  • Become familiar with different techniques for understanding errors

  • Form a shared opinion about the best plan of action for the individual and the business

  • Be able to convince others to act and support the plan and for everybody to work together

  • Stop think and plan

The summit is CPD certified and also includes topics like:

  • Why a quality construction plan is so important for your business

  • Improving quality by changing the development process

  • Who's responsible for making quality happen

  • What are the latest Government regulated quality standards

  • How to prepare an inspection test plan
