CITB Funding for Training to Get It Right

15 May 18
The Get It Right Initiative is delighted that as a result of the Initiatives' work during 2017 the CITB has awarded three Pilot Training modules to develop training to eliminate error and hence to improve productivity. This is a direct follow on from the research carried out by the Group which was jointly funded by Industry and CITB which demonstrated the root causes and cost of error and hence the need to develop these training modules.

The Get It Right Initiative coordinated the original bid to the CITB and will be delivering the training in a coordinated manner to the three groups through its delivery partners Think Up and Hard Hat Training Services.

The three Training Modules are:-

Leadership: Consortium leader Kier supported by Balfour Beatty, JN Bentley and Galliford Try

Supervisor and Management Skills Training: Consortium Leader Vinci supported by BAM Nuttall and Costain

Design Management and Training across Interfaces: Consortium Leader Berkeley Group supported by Hochtief, Sir Robert McAlpine, Bennetts Associates and Hoare Lea.

The objective of this commission is to develop the training over a period of 18 months, to demonstrate the effectiveness of those modules and hopefully to roll them out across the Industry as part of the Get IT Right Initiative's drive to eliminate Error.
