Taylor Woodrow to deliver GIRI interfaces training

Seven trainers at Taylor Woodrow have become accredited to deliver GIRI's IN-01 and IN-02 training across interfaces courses following the rollout of CITB-funded trainer training. Last year, the business celebrated nine trainers becoming accredited to deliver GIRI's supervisory and management skills course in-house.

Taylor Woodrow was awarded £65,700 from the CITB in the first round of funding last summer. The funds will support the embedding of GIRI training methodology on a number of projects, as well as leadership training at the company.

Colin Tomlinson delivered the training in Watford between October and December 2023, and it was well received by participants.

"Attendance provides the opportunity for all those involved in design to realise the potential of making changes and altering behaviours to reduce error," said one delegate. Another commented that they felt much more confident having completed the course, adding: "I'm very happy to deliver this course in future."

Following the successful accreditation of its in-house trainers, Taylor Woodrow will soon commence delivery of GIRI training to their staff and supply chain across several teams including Taylor Woodrow South West and Bletchley rail depot.
