New insurance insight events announced

GIRI and Zurich have announced two new events aimed at improving understanding of insurance issues among those working in the construction industry, and highlighting the part that error reduction can play in reducing claims. 

On Tuesday 8th September they will host an 'industry insight workshop' focussing on the claims procedure, while a second workshop in November will look at how to avoid damage from hotworks. 

These events are intended to build on the first workshop which was held in April 2020 and looked at issues around escape of water. Long term, they will help forge closer links between the insurance and construction industries. 

The first event is a free online workshop, in which Zurich will present and discuss common construction claims related to civil infrastructure works, structured around a hypothetical project.
