GIRI Training & Consultancy rolls out 'train the trainer' programme

20 Sep 21

The benefits of GIRI’s error-reduction training can now reach a wider audience following the roll out of a ‘train the trainer’ programme that enables organisations and individuals to become accredited to deliver the training in a face-to-face environment.

GIRI’s suite of training courses directly target the root causes of error in construction and empower companies, project teams, and individuals to get it right first time, improving the productivity, quality, safety and sustainability of projects.

‘Train the trainer’ modules have been developed for each of the courses in GIRI’s three streams of training: supervisory and management skills, training across interfaces, and leadership skills. Each module is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, understanding, confidence and practical application skills to enable them to deliver the course to groups of up to 16 in a classroom environment.

Each course is practical in content and delivered by a GIRI-approved professional trainer. Structured workshops focus on helping participants develop their teaching and facilitation skills. Peer feedback and personal reflection are important aspects of the training, and all participants produce an individual action plan to identify areas of improvement.

A CITB grant is available for registered employers on a per person, per course basis for each of the 'train the trainer' courses. This amounts to £70 per person/per course.

For essential criteria and full details on becoming a GIRI approved trainer, please see the GIRI Scheme Rules.
