GIRI to discuss role of technology in error reduction at Digital Construction Week
19 May 25GIRI will be focusing on how technology can help to reduce error on construction projects at two events at Digital Construction on 4 June in London.
In a table talk session at 11am, GIRI executive director Cliff Smith and Technology Working Group chair John Priestland will be joined by industry leaders, including quality and design managers, technology providers and AI specialists, to talk the potential of AI when it comes to avoiding error. The table talk will discuss various applications of AI in construction and the role these can play in error reduction. The discussion will also address the fact that AI itself can make errors along with strategies for how the likelihood and impact of this can be reduced.
Then, at 12.30 in the Transformation Hub, the focus will be strategies for reducing communication errors on site and how technology can play its part. Cliff Smith and John Priestland will be joined by Emer Murnaghan, innovation director at Graham Civil Engineering and GIRI Strategic Leadership Group member, Sarah Crawley, co-founder and director at SymTerra, and Kashan Ratyal, delivery business lead, for Severn Trent at Thames Water.
