GIRI director speaks at Intelligent Quality forum

Quality experts at GIRI member company Scottish Water and key partners in its supply-chain heard from executive director Cliff Smith at their most recent Intelligent Quality forum.

Cliff was invited to give a presentation to introduce the Get It Right Initiative and its industry-led research, and to participate in Scottish Water's quarterly gathering which reviews and discusses best-practice in error reduction.

He spoke about GIRI's drive to improve quality across construction, the role that the organisation plays and its aims for the year ahead. He also touched on potential industry changes around regulation/legislation and what opportunities there are for the construction industry to pull together and work as one.

Each of the supply-chain partners gave a presentation on what they are doing to improve quality within their own companies. They were asked to explain what changes they had made in their organisations over the last year in relation to improving quality and how the perception of quality had changed as a result, as well as how Covid had impacted on their ability to focus on delivering quality at site.
