Dates announced for first GIRI 'Train the Trainer' open course

GIRI Training & Consultancy has announced a series of dates for an open course for individuals wanting to gain approval to deliver GIRI’s accredited training courses for supervisors and managers. The four-day ‘Train the Trainer’ programme, which is scheduled to take place in Sheffield at the end of April and early May, is now open for bookings.

Only ten delegate places are available on the programme, which is essential for any trainers who wish to deliver the GIRI-accredited SM-01 and SM-02 courses, either as part of a pair of experienced industry peer trainers, or as an individual professional trainer. Successful completion of the Train the Trainer programme is a key step in the process of becoming a GIRI Approved Trainer, the full details of which are set out on the GIRI website.  

Delegates on the four-day programme will gain the skills, knowledge and practical tools to confidently deliver the two-part GIRI training programme for construction supervisors and managers (GIRI SM-01 Reducing errors on construction sites – Part one: Supervision skills and GIRI SM-02 Reducing errors on construction sites – Part two: Planning skills). In order to achieve GIRI Approval, attendees must complete the End Assessment. 

Those who successfully complete the course will be granted access to the standardised learning materials via the GIRI Learning Management System (LMS).

Prospective trainers must be engaged by a GIRI Approved Training Provider*; any industry employer or training provider can apply to become approved. Find out more about becoming a GIRI Approved Training Provider.

4-5 May 2022 (9am to 5pm): GIRI SM-02-TT Reducing errors on construction sites - Part two: Planning skills - Trainer training
