22 Sep 21

Bookings are now open for the GIRI members' meeting on Wednesday 10th November at the Institution of Civil Engineers in London.

As well as a review of the year from executive director Cliff Smith, the meeting will feature a programme of speakers headed up by Ed McCann and Mark Farmer, who will discuss the role that error reduction can play in increasing efficiency and productivity in the construction industry.

Ed McCann, who is senior director of Expedition Engineering, was one of the founders of the Get It Right Initiative and takes over as president of the Institution of Civil Engineers in November.

Mark Farmer is CEO of Cast Consultancy and in 2019 was appointed as the government's champion for modern methods of construction in housebuilding.

The meeting, which is open to all members of GIRI, starts at 9.30am and the programme will run until midday with a networking break in the middle. Delegates are also invited to stay for a light lunch which will be served after the meeting.
