BAM becomes GIRI Approved Training Provider
22 Jan 24BAM has become a GIRI Approved Training Provider following the rollout of train-the-trainer courses funded by the recent CITB training commission.
The business now has 15 trainers accredited to deliver GIRI's SM-01 and SM-02 supervisory and management skills courses and nine trainers able to deliver the IN-01 & IN-02 training across interfaces courses.
The training was delivered by Oliver Broadbent in the last quarter of 2023 at locations throughout the UK, including Bristol, Cumbernauld, Camberley, Leeds and Birmingham.
"GIRI is pitched well for its audience and has the potential to be a game-changer," said one delegate. Another praised the 'simple-to-understand concepts' and said these could have a major impact on the business.
BAM was awarded £128,880 by the CITB for GIRI training. In addition to supporting the business in becoming an Approved Training Provider, the funding will enable BAM to deliver organisation leadership training as well as project leadership training across five projects: TRU Hillhouse sidings, Finstown sub-station, Cross Tay link road, Guildford Sewage Treatment Works and Devonport Royal Dockyard.
