The fourth in our series of 'insurance insight' events hosted with Zurich Insurance focuses on avoiding damage from construction fires.
Over the last few years there has been a notable increase in the number of fires significantly affecting construction projects, in particular projects involving refurbishment of listed buildings.
The aim of this session is to:
- Give an overview of Zurich's experiences of recent significant losses
- Reinforce industry best practice; and
- Identify further mitigation measures to reduce the risks such as
- Strengthening hot work permit procedures;
- Improved training; and
- New technology
