GIRI/CQIC Joint Conference

The Get It Right Initiative (GIRI) and the Construction Quality Improvement Collaborative (CQIC) is holding a joint conference to examine compliance, safety and quality in the UK construction sector.

As a new approach to compliance is being developed in Scotland by the Building Standards Division of the Scottish Government, we explore the importance of compliance in error reduction, quality and safety. 

The new Compliance Plan (CP) approach will define and implement an appropriate and robust building warrant compliance assurance regime. In England, the Building Safety Act has brought introduced a similar framework approach to the design, construction, and management of buildings. 

This conference will bring together leaders from across the public and private sectors to discuss the implications of new legislation, the importance of compliance and the responsibilities of the Compliance Plan Manager and BSA Accountable Person.

With keynote presentations from industry leaders and roundtable discussions to share insight and expertise, this conference provides a valuable forum for senior managers and quality professionals within the construction sector.
