Hosted by Nick Francis of GIRI Training & Consultancy, this online GIRI forum will consider the causes of error which caused the derailment of a train between Carmont and Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire in August 2020, tragically killing three people and injuring six others.
We will hear from RAIB inspector Nick Bucknall, who was in charge of the investigation; he will talk about the causes of error that were revealed, the role they played in the events that led to the derailment, and the recommendations coming out of the investigation.
Nick Francis will subsequently lead a Q&A and interactive discussion with delegates to consider any lessons that can be learned from the tragedy.
