GIRI Autumn Members' Meeting

Register now to book a seat for our Autumn Members' Meeting which will have a focus on collaborating to eliminate error.

The programme will include a series of presentations from organisations that share or have some overlap with GIRI’s goals; we have invited representatives to talk about the work they are doing towards eliminating error, improving quality, safety and productivity and how that work overlaps with or complements GIRI’s work. Attendees will also learn how GIRI members might contribute to, or benefit from, this work. 

Confirmed speakers:

Ian Richardson, sector lead on built environment, BSi will talk about the new BS 99001 (Quality management systems. Specification for the application of BS EN ISO 9001:2015 in the built environment sector) 

Melissa Zanocco, Infrastructure Clients Group/Project 13. Achieving better outcomes for people and planet - how to make fewer errors and create space for innovation.

Colin Campbell, associate director Scottish Futures Trust and secretariat for CQIC Construction Quality Improvement Collaborative (CQIC) seven months on. Colin will provide an update on the progress of the national campaign to create a sustainable quality culture across Scotland that was launched in February 2023.

Alison Nicholl, head of Constructing Excellence. Procurement as an enabler of better outcomes. Considering how we can use procurement as a mechanism to incentivise the supply chain to deliver better quality and outcomes.

Steffan Speer, chair of the CQI Construction Special Interest Group. Opportunities for collaboration with the CQI Construction Special Interest Group. Steffan will explain the purpose and strategy of the CQI Construction Special Interest Group.
