This is advanced level training and prepares trainers seeking GIRI approval to deliver GIRI accredited training on behalf of a GIRI Approved Training Provider. Those who successfully complete the training will contribute significantly to the collective industry effort to improve construction productivity and reduce construction error through the delivery of GIRI-accredited training which directly targets the root causes of error. This topic of productivity and error avoidance is key to improving construction performance by addressing identified skills shortages in the construction workforce. This is a recognised training product and forms part of a wider suite of GIRI Productivity courses.

Delivery

The course is delivered by a GIRI-approved, individual professional trainer.

The training is highly practical in content. Participants will develop their teaching and facilitation skills through structured workshops, taking it in turns to deliver different elements of the course, extensive use of peer-feedback, and personal reflection. Participants each produce an individual action plan to identify how they can improve.

Attendance on this Trainer Training course does not automatically guarantee the delegate will receive formal approval as a GIRI Trainer. The learning is formally assessed, through use of an end-test and grading by the trainer. Formal approval is dependent on satisfactory delivery in line with GIRI’s Quality Standards (monitored by GIRI) and upon delegates meeting the GIRI Scheme Requirements (for further details, see the ‘Scheme Rules’)
