Universal metric to measure Quality Performance

Representatives from ten major UK construction companies met on the 12th February to discuss the development of a universal metric to measure performance in delivering quality. The consensus was that if we were able to develop a metric that operates in a similar way as the Accident Frequency Rates, with the same level of simplicity, it would be a real boost to delivering quality.

This is a great start for the first meeting of the new GIRI Working Group focused on measuring Quality Performance. One of GIRI’s aims is to support the Industry to work together as a whole, and this is a great example of competitors coming together to improve the Industry through collaboration. Watch this space as the Working Group develops its ideas, and get in touch if you’d like to be involved.
