Get It Right Initiative Goes to the University of Westminster

18 Mar 18
Seventy students attended a Get It Right Initiative Workshop lead by GIRI Executive Director Tom Barton.

We debated the cost of errors to the Industry and the broad consensus was that the cost to the Industry is of the order of 20%

There was a good debate about the root causes of error and and what we should try to do about eliminating error.

The students were amazed that even when information is correct things can still go wrong.

They were strong advocates of improving systems and processes to make sure that errors really are avoided.

They also recognised that specifications need to be clear and unambiguous.

It was great that we were able to work with the next Generation of Industry Leaders in our campaign to eliminate errors and hence improve productivity.
